Captains notes February.

Cant believe its still raining. Thinking about building an ark, mind you we are still playing so mustn’t grumble.

Congratulations to the has-been Mark Arkell for wining the Febuary medal with a 67. Since hes started running 4 miles a night his game’s improved vastly (ElBandito).

The first pairs comp got underway: the Sheldon. Steve and I pipped P Williamson
and B Kelly at the post. Well done to all the pairs that got through. Next round is the 9th March; good luck chaps.

In the first round of the Essex Seniors we have drawn Maldon away. Kevin, Don and Greg are sorting this out.
First round of the Norman Plum Trophy is on Sunday the 13th of April against Basildon. 3 pairs home, 3 pairs away, me and Mark are looking after that one.

First round of the Leslie Wood is on Sunday the 20th April away to Bentley. My vice man Steve Durman has
got this one in hand. We need caddies for this one, chaps, so please come forward.

For the Public Courses we have enough players to enter 2 teams, both of have byes in the first round.
Mr Bell and Mr Lovely are looking for a captain so if anyone fancies this job please contact one of them.

Don’t forget prize giving on 7th March.

Good luck for all the competitions and for your golf this month.

Regards Peter.
